Armen Aghaeian, CEO of New Artist Pictures, started out as a freelance cinematographer, developing and filming for the fashion, toy and corporate industry. Mr. Aghaeian has numerous accomplishments in his field, most notably winning an MTV Movie Award for Best Digital Short in 2008. He produced, directed and co-wrote the comedy spoof Juno: Redeux based on Fox Searchlight's hit film, Juno.
His most recently produced film is Tragedy Girls (2017), based on an original screenplay by Tyler MacIntyre and Chris Hill. The story is a twist on the slasher genre following two death-obsessed teenage girls who use their online show about real-life tragedies to send their small mid-western town into a frenzy and cement their legacy as modern horror legends. It stars Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool), Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse), Craig Robinson (This Is The End, Hot Tub Time Machine), Josh Hutcherson (Hunger Games), Jack Quaid (Vinyl, Hunger Games), Kevin Durand (X-Men: Wolverine, Fruitvale Station).
